Game face is a well-known expression in the sports arena, but it’s also applicable when working out. Consider this familiar scenario: It’s 6:00 pm. You’ve been working since 6:00 in the morning. You’re tired and hungry. Are you ready to give your all?
Sure you may not always looking pretty or cute locking out that 150 lbs of weight over your head, but the expression on your face is a direct reflection of your inner strength and mental toughness as you fully engage yourself in the present moment. Your game face not only defines who you are, but reveals the character and what has been brewing inside.
A few cool quotes to go along with the theme:
“The minute I got into competition, you’ll see that focus, that stare, that intensity. The minute you get into that zone your whole body language, expression and mentality changes. That’s what makes a winner.” — Pat McCormic
“It’s really a mental, spiritual and emotional quest — the term Game Face embodies all those dimensions.” — Sarah Gerhardt
Game face the phrase means absolutely nothing to me. Maybe it’s a generational phrase. — Mickey Wright
